This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
The Introd network is an informal network which can be considered a bottom-up initiative of small-scaled tourist operators (small businesses accommodation and tourist sites).
All Introd tourist accommodation join the informal Introd network. Today in total they are 10, plus others which are currently being set up. In general the trend of members is increasing. Besides the tourist accommodation the Parc Animalier d’Introd and Tascapan adhere to the informal Introd network as well.
Indeed, the municipality of Introd is an emerging destination with a not yet totally expressed tourist potential. The network has a family atmosphere and is very dynamic.
The members of the Introd network gather in meetings with the objective of creating and attracting new customers in Introd.
Events are organized and the main one is the now yearly "La Nuit des Temps", a journey throughout the centuries to the discovery of our villages and their inhabitants. The first edition took place in 2016 and in 2018 the 3rd one is taking place. Some figures concerning the participants:
- in 2016, 4 shifts with 25 participants each (tot. 100)
- in 2017, 7 shifts in total 175 participants + about 60 people for the dry run
- in 2018 (it will take place on 20/10/18) they expect about the same number of participants than in 2017. For the dry run they had about 115 participants (it took place on 11/10/18)
- about 125 actors
The network also focuses on local traditions and local heritage.

Resources needed
The Introd network is an informal network which is not subject to regulation yet.
Evidence of success
The Introd network is a small and local network aiming at developing the municipality territory.
Thanks to the exchange of best practices and innovative ideas among local tourist operators it manages to attract new tourist flows and to increase them.
It can be considered a successful bottom-up approach to the destination management.
The theory of "the role of the champions" can be applied to this network. Indeed, its members volunteer to facilitate and improve a positive change locally.

Potential for learning or transfer
The idea of having a bottom-up network which acts as a real regulated body, but is actually still informal, and which brings successful outcomes to the destination can be considered a good practice.
It has surely a lot to improve and expand, but the members willpower and the evident growth in tourist arrivals show the success of this network.
