This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
In order to accelerate the move to electric, the Regional Government of Castilla y León has implemented several measures, including the subsidy in urban vehicle charging infrastructure. The goal was to promote the advantages linked to the use of electric vehicles.
This IRVE grant provided support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging stations for business, citizens and public sector organisations. The main requirement was that the power of the charging stations should be below 40KW.
This good practice is related to:
- Incentives: subsides might help individual consumers to choose electric vehicles.
- -Recharging infrastructures (and related business models)
- Awareness raising

Resources needed
Original budget was 50.000€, however only 12.623,84€ were finally granted.
Evidence of success
For the third year in a row the IRVE grant was a great success. The main target for this practice was to obtain a greater visibility, 8 charging points benefited from this grant.
Potential for learning or transfer
This practice could be potentially interesting for other regions because we developed a subsidy procedure for the installation of recharging stations. We can share our knowledge in regulations and procedures with other regions. Moreover, it is a great way to detect possible needs of the beneficiaries.
We think that Presov might find our good practice particularly interesting for their Actions plans and Regional Co-Design Stakeholder Workshop, since they do not have specific policies to promote e-mobility.
