Limburg Recovers and Accelerates

The Limburg Recovers and Accelerates project aimed to lead Limburg SMEs out of the corona crisis and to position them more strongly for a competitive and international future. This by stimulating and supporting innovations for the broad Limburg SME, which qualifies within the framework of REACT-EU: innovative and contributing to the greening or digitization of Limburg's economic structure.
One of the objectives is Limburg Future-proof: supporting Limburg SMEs in initiating, developing and realizing innovative products and services, with economic potential and an impact on social challenges, in particular the greening, health and/or digitization transition. The program contributes directly to the (development of) innovation projects, business cases and internationalization plans at an individual level among 455 SMEs. The activities of this project have the common goal to support the development of innovations, with an emphasis on technological innovations linked to the transition themes like in the chemical sector.

Entrepreneurs can gain knowledge about new technologies, for example through small and large-scale events, multi-day masterclasses and individual conversations with business developers, and strengthen their internationalization by participating in, for example, foreign trade missions. In addition, the own (technological) development of 56 SMEs is financially supported through the project-own financing instrument Innovation Project.
