About this good practice
The founder entrepreneur created a brand called "panyizsuzsi" in 2007 for glass jewellery. Since 2009 this activity has been supplemented by the ‘poppy bulb’ business development consultancy, which offers free or paid courses for one-person craft businesses, complemented by personal consulting. The free course is available for participants for 30 days online and the paid course 186 days. 400-500 students have completed the online paid course since the start and 2500-3000 have completed the free course. Free mini-courses, so-called ‘tasters’, are organized around certain themes and are aimed at guiding participants toward a longer personalised one, since online marketing training is needed for those participants who have already done pricing and may need to learn about Instagram, for example.
The online course is important because many craftswomen start their own business alongside having children so they can master the content of the training materials at home or at their workshops in their own time (e.g. after having put the children to bed) without having to travel. Based on the experience so far, the length of the course varies from 2 weeks to 1 month (the course participants receive the materials at the start). The exact pace of learning is determined by the learner.
It was extremely important because women entrepreneurs have many roles to play, also as mothers and homemakers, so it is important for them to be able to learn in a time and space that is flexible.

Evidence of success
The practice is useful because the concept can be implemented with a small budget and a website/webshop can be created by the entrepreneurs alone.
One of the students of the practice owner, a silk dyeing female entrepreneur who created the "silkandmore.hu" online store as a result of her mentoring, received an order of 100 scarves from a commercial bank thanks to her attractive webshop after 2 years, and the bank has been her client ever since (https://silkandmore.hu/).

Potential for learning or transfer
-the method can be implemented easily, quickly and with little investment in any other region/country
-only one person (with the right qualities, knowledge and experience) is sufficient to operate it
-there are many valuable handicraft products in Hungary, but we do not know much about them, they are not present in shops and online, so these businesses disappear after a while
-at the moment there is an increase in interest for and a renaissance of the ancient techniques abroad. Hungary is fortunate to have elders and the masters of the professions still alive to hand over the preservation of traditions related to certain crafts and to answer questions if they arise
-Hungarians living abroad (e.g. in England, Transylvania) are also students of the good practice, so the system is tested - the good practice can be transferred abroad.
