About this good practice
The program aims to: promote Romanian SMEs' products and services on foreign markets, to stimulate communication and business partnership, with a view to internationalize; to train entrepreneurs in the field of techniques for promoting products and services.
The target group of the project is represented by Romanian SMEs that have as their object the production of goods and / or services (primary and / or secondary NACE codes authorized under Law 359 / 2004, with subsequent amendments and completions).
The program finances: individual participation in international fairs and exhibitions, organized on a stand-alone basis, individual participation in organized economic missions abroad, creation of an SMEs visual identity, creation of an Internet site / mobile application, presentation of the activity applicant and promoted products in Romanian and English / other international language; employee participation in training courses in the country and / or abroad in the field of techniques for promoting products / services in new markets; analyzes and market studies; other types of activities to promote and support internationalization.

Resources needed
The total estimated budget for the period 2017-2020 of the minimis scheme is 71 million lei. The estimated number of beneficiary companies is 1600. The non-reimbursable financial allocation is up to 50,000 lei / beneficiary/year, representing maximum 90% of the value of the eligible expenditure.
Evidence of success
The program will help improve the business environment and promoting entrepreneurship in Romania by: SMEs participation in international fairs and exhibitions organized abroad; The possibility of SMEs to know closely the consumption habits of clients in the foreign markets; Providing the opportunity for SMEs to make partnerships abroad easier.
Potential for learning or transfer
Transferable practices for other regions include: Creating new tools to promote the SMEs in order to facilitate the access of SMEs to foreign markets as well as reducing the market gap, consulting and training services Romanian SMEs compared to those in the European Union; The strong commitment to collaboration and a joined up offer from regional and national stakeholders involved.
