This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
Baciu Farm is a zootechnical farm for raising bulls and dairy cows.
The farmer owns approx 2000 ha, for growing cereals and fodder. An integrated system for raising bulls and dairy cows( over 1200) is used on the farm, processes the beef in its own slaughterhouse and sells the products in its own stores.
In 2018 they built a facility that has equipment that converts manure into biogas, electricity. The biogas plant with a power of 635 kW/ hour, processes daily 20 tons of manure from animals and 20 tons of corn.
A part of 15 of the electricity produced is used to serve the farm, and the remaining 85 is sent to the national network.
At the end of the process, the remaining digestate is used as fertilizer on the farm.

Resources needed
3.2 million Euro in the biogas installation
Evidence of success
• 3 years of operation in the field of renewable energy
• Electricity produced: up to 635 KW/hour
• More than 7 000 tons/ year of organic waste collected and exploited
• 15% of the electricity produced is used to serve the farm, and the remaining 85% is sent to the national network

Potential for learning or transfer
This type of investment can be implemented in farms, to turn various organic waste into biogas and the digestate can be used as natural fertilizers.
