This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
In line with its obligations as the promoter of Sustainable Mobility and the assumption of a ‘role model’ status on the subject of Electromobility, Transport Malta invested in the replacement of thirteen Internal combustion vehicles by thirteen other electric vehicles. Transport Malta (TM) deployed 13 full electric vehicles (EVs) including 2 light goods vans, 4 crew vans, 3 passenger cars and 4 quadricycles. These vehicles are of a variety in that we have purchased a VIP vehicle (BMW i3), small utility Twizzy’s, normal class vehicles and crew vans, thus catching all the spectrum of a typical corporate fleet.

Resources needed
Funds were essentially required since it involved purchasing. Administrative support was required for the tendering process.
Evidence of success
The vehicles are being used as normal and TM personnel are by now well used to driving such vehicles efficiently.
Potential for learning or transfer
This is simply a good model for other partners to follow, when they are dealing with vehicles which have to go round cities within a 100km radius of range...each vehicle has a minimum of around 110 km of battery range with one charge.
