About this good practice
In the Central and Eastern European economic context of growth and entrepreneurial discovery, the access of SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) to sources of information and dependable support are decisive.
The Ro-Boost SMEs Project – “Boosting Smart and Innovation-Driven Growth for Romanian SMEs” is funded by the European Commission through the COSME Program
The overall objective of the consortium, made up by the two Regional Development Agencies (South-West Oltenia and West), Arad Chamber of Commerce, Tehimpuls Association and Craiova University, is to develop a support structure for SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) in the two development regions, South-West Oltenia region and West region, forming the Macroregion IV, through which it aims to provide an integrated set of information, support and advice services to help SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) exploit European business development opportunities.
The Ro-Boost SMEs consortium provides a set of basic information and advice services on European topics for all types of SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs).
The consortium also supports SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) to identify partners in other EU or associated countries.
Through this project, SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) with an increased potential for innovation will benefit from the intermediary of the Ro-Boost SMEs consortium of services regarding the increasing of the capacity for innovation management.

The aim is to capitalize upon the work done in 2015-2018 and to enrich the impact in 2019, through the greater accent put on key factors with overall economic impact on SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs) competitiveness. Potential for learning or transfer
This is a Good Practice example of the SW Oltenia region in terms of innovative support for SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs), in this case the “Ro-Boost SMEs” Consortium. The project supports SMEs (includingTransport-related SMEs) and entrepreneurs to develop business ideas that are innovative and ready for the market and attracts investment to support the growth of their business process, to further develop the business sectors (including Transport-related sectors), having the SMEs (including Transport-related SMEs), as the core of the innovative development of European regions. This GP has a real value in terms of learning and transfer to other regions in Europe.
