STORE-IT Center for digitalisation and data management in the Industrial Zone Bulgarovo
About this good practice
The project envisages the construction of a centre for digitalisation and management of data from analog media, meeting modern requirements and best international practices in the field of digitalisation and storage of documents in the Industrial Zone Bulgarovo. It is a digitalisation centre with three separate archives. The implementation of the project meets the main goals of the Industrial Zone Bulgarovo, set by the Municipality of Burgas, providing jobs, increasing investment activity and attracting high-tech and green businesses on the transition to Industry 4.0. The clients of the centre will digitise their archives, optimise processes and reduce the cost of working with documents. This optimisation would also help reduce paper use and contribute to a green economy. The digital centre will have the highest level of security. The access to the archive and the office part will be carried out with fingerprints only by authorised employees, and a special access regime will be introduced for the client's premises
The project will affect:
• increasing investment activity and attracting high-tech and green businesses and those that help the process of transition to Industry 4.0.
• improvement of the territory
• creation of 15 new jobs
• achieving the goals set in the strategic documents for the development of an industrial zone, attracting investments.
• achieving the goals for economic development set in the strategic documents through effective public services.
Resources needed
The approved funding amounts to BGN 1,208,500, of which BGN 713,015 is co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Program "Growing Regions 2014-2020", provided through the Fund of Funds. The investment is on an area of 3,128 square meters in Balgarovo.
Evidence of success
The project allows not only the storage of all documents and archives, but also 24/7 online access and control of the stored information, easy tracking of documentation, saving physical space, reducing costs for administration of information assets. Users are mainly companies that handle a large number of documents - enterprises that exist for many years and have many payrolls, documentation that must be kept for a long time, as well as accounting companies, banks, financial institutions etc.
Potential for learning or transfer
The project could be applied in similar industrial parks in other regions as an example of public-private partnership aimed at ensuring digitalisation services for companies in the industrial park.
