About this good practice
Wielkopolska SMEs willing to acquire new markets and customers for their products and services are facing various problems and challenges. 3 chambers from Wielkopolska are undertaking activities trying to overcome it.
Polish Chamber of Commerce for Importers, Exporters and Co-operation (PCC) promotes Polish companies on foreign markets in 2 cooperation models. The first is related to having a local partner on a given market to gather information on locally needed products and services, which then is transferred to Polish companies. Other outcomes of these partnerships are business missions with B2B meetings. Second model assumes traditional partnership with chambers of commerce connected with given markets, both foreign chambers and bilateral chambers located in Poland.
Wielkopolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WIPH) ran Local Business Worldwide Students Platform and is building partnership with Chernihiv Region in Ukraine. The first initiative aimed at exchange contacts and establish cooperation between foreign students studying in Poznan and Wielkopolska enterprises. The second is developed for the purpose of strengthening economic ties between Polish and Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
Wielkopolska Chamber of Crafts (WIR) in Poznań, in cooperation with foreign partners and vocational schools in Wielkopolska, has been involved in Erasmus projects providing internships for students, which gave them an opportunity to improve their skills and gain professional qualifications

Potential for learning or transfer
Good practice encompasses different approaches to the issue of internationalisation of enterprises and international exchange. Common for all chambers is an emphasis on cooperation with foreign partners and flexible approach to the needs of companies. The intitiatives within the practice, that result in establishing and developing networks of international contacts, might be an inspiration for actions conducted by business environment institutions in other regions and countries.
