About this good practice
The goal is to create a new holistic program in the Region of Central Greece, a specialized and branded tourism product, whose aim is not only monuments’ maintenance and restoration, but also their connection with local economy, sustainability and sustainable development.
The aim is to connect rich cultural heritage, monuments and sites - masterpieces of past civilizations with touristic attractions and the natural beauty of the Region. These new cultural – environmental hubs, unknown to international tourist networks, should attract many visitors looking for new destinations, throughout the year. Apart from visiting the monuments of culture and nature, visitors will be able to enjoy high quality services, such as local cuisine, contemporary cultural life, tradition, history and hospitality.

The development of a Local Quality Contract, aims at creating a quality network of all businesses in the region and not only those related to tourism. The implementation of this Local Quality Contract guarantees the quality of the services offered to visitors. In order to implement this GP different bodies coming from the public and private sector need to cooperate.
