About this good practice
Having in mind that real life necessitates appropriate skills, this good practice, through realistic enterprising activities prepares students to face a constantly changing world.
Project Objectives :
Entrepreneurial Promotion

Teaching students be flexible and active
The “Youth Entrepreneurship” program focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation and runs each school year by Psychico College.
The Program is addressed to elementary school students.
The students are invited to create enterprises that produce innovative products (sweets, smoothies, greeting cards etc.) to be sold at school. Students work in teams and decide on the production procedure, create a business plan and secure the financing. The final products are advertised and promoted for sale. Cooperation and exchanging ideas are very important at every step. Throughout the program students meet experts who advise them. Teams present the whole project and the company’s financial report. In the end all students are awarded. The profits from the sale of the products go to support our School’s Development Office, the Scholarship Program, help the underprivileged and for environmental activities.

Evidence of success
The results of the evaluation conducted by the Psychico College Private Elementary School (Latseio) showed that this program is a powerful educational tool that helps students to exploit school knowledge and their skills and competencies in real-life situations. Students show enthusiasm for the program and satisfaction with their participation in it. This is reflected in their final project on which the evaluation of the program is based and shows the impact of the program on the pupils’ mind-se
Potential for learning or transfer
The program is mostly based on principles and procedures of the “Global Enterprise Challenge” designed by Microsoft in which many schools from more than 20 countries participated successfully and even Psychico College participated in it from 2014 to 2017.
It doesn’t require specific conditions or big scale resources (human or financial).
Technical advisors and business advisors can come from the organisation teachers and parents of students or even volunteers of the community.
It can be adopted by schools of all educational levels (elementary, secondary etc.) in all European Countries.
