About this good practice
Zero Waste Store
From Zero Waste Store, the client can buy products needed for daily living, in bulk or in reusable packaging, eliminating disposable plastic from your life. The products are from ethical sources, mainly organic, vegan, without plastic and with a positive impact on the community.
Nothing that leaves the store is a waste generator: either the client can buy the products in bulk, in his reusable containers; either the client will find products in compostable packaging, which the store receives back and ensure the composting process; either the client will find products in reusable packaging, which the store receives back and send to the manufacturers to be reused.
Also, the customer can order what he wants, and the store will deliver in accordance with the principles of zero waste, by bicycle, anywhere in the city.
A community store
Zero Waste Store wants to be an ethical business, a cooperative model, supported by the community. In the first 6 months, more than 200 people gathered, who contributed 5 euros per month, thus ensuring the rental cost of the space.
Thus, a cooperative dedicated to living without waste will be created, in which members will be involved in choosing the products that reach the shelf and in decisions related to the store, they will be able to participate in experiences created especially for the cooperative.
The store will function as a social enterprise.
