New Interreg MOOC starts soon
The European Commission and a consortium led by the University of Strasbourg is launching a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg).
The course will run from 7 March to 24 April. Registration is open.
The MOOC introduces the history of European territorial cooperation and Interreg and provides an overview of the current context. The course is divided in four parts:
- Foundations and general framework of Interreg (origins, evolution, theoretical framework, historical context)
- Existing European policies on territorial cooperation (Interreg, neighbourhood policy, macro-regional policy and their implementation)
- Thematic look specific policy areas and how Interreg has helped to shape the implementation of policies (health, special planning, environment, culture, mobility)
- Practical experiences (implementation of cross-border projects)
The MOOC is free to attend and open to anyone interested in the topic. Target groups include:
- Students, teachers and the academic community
- Practitioners involved in territorial cooperation (programmes, projects)
- Representatives of organisations located in border regions interested in cross-border cooperation;
- Anyone interested in European integration and Interreg
