On 26 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform is hosting the second episode of the webinar series 'Active Mobility'. Join us for the session on integrating walking into mobility and transport policy from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.

Active mobility, including walking and cycling, plays a crucial role in building a low-carbon transport system. It helps reduce carbon emissions, cut air pollution, and ease traffic congestion, while also improving urban mobility and public health through physical activity.

As part of the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, active transport is essential for the shift toward more sustainable modes of transportation. The EU supports investment in cycling infrastructure, pedestrian-friendly cities, and sustainable urban mobility plans to create greener, healthier urban spaces.

This second episode will focus on integrating walking into mobility and transport policy
