On 26-27 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform hosted an onsite peer review for Kristiansand Municipality (Norway), which sought advice on how to improve the labour market integration of immigrants, with a specific focus on Ukrainian refugees.

On 20-21 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform hosted a peer review for Amiens Métropole (France). The Region sought advice and inspiration on an economic development and innovation strategy for cultural and creative industries.

On 17-18 December 2024, the Policy Learning Platform hosted a peer review in Kiel, Germany, on behalf of Schleswig-Holstein’s Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SHIBB). The event focused on addressing youth employment challenges, particularly the transition of young people from NEETs to FEETs.

On 12-13 December 2024, the Policy Learning Platform hosted a peer review on behalf of the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises on adapting foreign trade support to changing European and global environments.

The Policy Learning Platform conducted a face-to-face matchmaking for the Municipality of Prespes, on 21 November 2024. Local authorities requested advice on how to develop tourism, building on the concept of creative tourism.

On 5 December 2024, the Policy Learning Platform organised a matchmaking at the request of Marche Region Italy, as Regional Managing Authority for sustainable energy to explore how to shape a 6 million call for proposals under the European Regional Development Fund for supporting energy communities in 2025.

On 26-27 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform held an onsite peer review for the Thuringian Ministry of Environment, Energy and Nature Protection (Germany), which requested advice regarding their policy challenge on the reintroduction of the lynx as part of the biodiversity strategy of the State of Thuringia.

Financing interregional innovation cooperation in Basque Country

On 5-6 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform held an onsite peer review for the Regional Government of the Basque Country (Spain), which was looking for inspiration on how to finance interregional innovation through cooperation and realise cross-programme synergies in practice.

On 8 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform held an onsite matchmaking, which requested advice regarding their policy challenge on designing and implementing a long-term, adaptive governance and support framework to identify, select, and nurture high-potential niche specialisation opportunities for innovation valorisation in the Northern Netherlands.

Availability of freshwater and drinking water in Netherlands

On 6-7 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform held an onsite peer review for the Provinces of Noord and Zuid Holland, which requested advice regarding their policy challenge on availability of freshwater and drinking water in the context of changing climate.
