About the project
Agroforestry is a relative new concept in regional development policies. It has much potential to become an important element in regional policies to counter climate adaptation on a regional scale. It can help to create local food supply chains, create more biodiversity, help regions to become less susceptible to dry and wet periods and create a much more varied rural area. To make use and fully comprehend the enormous potential of agroforestry, more integrated approaches and tools are needed. Within this project we are going to dive deeper into regional approaches of agroforestry and share experiences on how regional policies makers can make much more benefit of the potential of agroforestry to counter regional discrepancies on food, biodiversity, climate and social cohesion.
