About the project
Living walls enable a wide range of benefits when it comes to climate change mitigation, minimizing the impacts of heat islands in cities and providing green infrastructure whilst at the same time preserving biodiversity in the built environment. Along with the ecological impacts that contribute to greener and more resilient cities, living walls have a major role in establishing energy efficiency in buildings through regulation of energy transmissions in winter and summer, improving indoor air quality and optimizing the HVAC system in general to achieve sustainability in buildings as well as bracing well-being for residents.
The project aims to raise awareness on importance and benefits of green living walls system implementation on buildings in urban areas, solutions for their sustainable maintance and inducing of wider practice of installation to enhance CO2 emission reduction.
