The project aims to facilitate the transition of water and sewage companies towards a circular economy. To accomplish this, identifying primary challenges and areas with significant issues is crucial. For effective visualization, measurement, and monitoring, quantifiable indicators are necessary. (...) These indicators offer valuable insights into how companies are embracing and applying circular economy models, including reducing waste, enhancing resource efficiency, and designing sustainable products. For policymakers, understanding the current state of business transformation aids in crafting more precise and impactful policy tools. Such instruments can be devised to promote further adoption of circular practices, spotlighting areas in need of regulatory support, financial incentives, or awareness campaigns.
