Circular regions: from policy to action

Regions across Europe play a key role in acceleration the transition to a circular economy. Regional authorities are developing policies accordingly, and are aligning their instruments such as circular procurement and creating acces to funding. Regions are also assessing and stimulation business collaboration in circular value chains. In doing so regions are looking for good practices and examples alsewhere and are looking for knowledge exchange platforms.

The Circular Benchmark Tool, initiated under the INTERREG Europe project REPLACE, is an easy to use self assessment tool for regions to determine the Circular Maturity Level. It provides a framework for bringing ideas and policies to actions. Furthermore it provides a basis for knowledge exchange and exchange of best-practices. 

The projectidea is to bring regions together, exchange knowledge and best practices, develop circular economy policies and actions plans, and further bring the policy to action in different ways.
