About the project
The municipality of Hillerød has defined a clear pathway towards CO2-neutrality in close collaboration with citizens, NGO’s and local companies.
We believe that it is essential to build a community which can make technical solutions and green mobility work to achieve climate neutrality. We want to create a sustainable Business Improvement District in an old industrial area.
We are especially interested in fostering supply of sustainable energy for heating and mobility and building industrial symbiosis and other circular economy collaboration while also increasing resilience to climate change.
Hillerød has a population of 54.000 inhabitants with a UNESCO nature park, and industrial areas with heavy industry which we want to support towards CO2 neutrality.
We would like to join an Interreg Europe project in a SMART or GREEN topic to work with other cities and regions around Europe to create community-centered pathways for an effective and just transition to CO2-neutrality.
