About the project
Creative tourism development involves promoting tourism experiences that engage travellers with the local culture, heritage, and artistic expressions of a destination. It goes beyond traditional sightseeing to offer immersive and participatory activities that encourage visitors to interact with the local community, viz:
- Cultural Interactive Workshops and Masterclasses: Offer hands-on experiences where travellers can learn traditional crafts, culinary techniques, or artistic skills directly from local artisans and experts.
- Artist Residencies: Create opportunities for artists from different disciplines to live and work in the destination, collaborating with local communities and producing new artwork inspired by their surroundings.
- Cultural Exchanges
- Digital and Virtual Experiences
- Marketing and Promotion.
By embracing creativity and innovation, destinations can differentiate themselves in the competitive tourism market while preserving and celebrating their cultural heritage.
