Cross-national cooperation in tackling active ageing challenges

We propose a project that aims to empower local/regional communities with high rates of disadvantaged groups and older persons, in engaging different stakeholders (NGOSs, organisations representing the interests of older persons, family members, local authorities, citizens, social entrepreneurs etc.) to respond to challenges related to population ageing, by creating collaboration tools in this respect. 

We also propose (1) to facilitate the cross-national transfer of policy measures targeted to upgrade the competences and skills of social care workforce/to retained the skilled labour in social assistance and to favour the integration in care activities of vulnerable groups (e.g. older workers, pensioners, long-term unemployed persons, housekeepers etc.); (2) to develop a collaborative approach to the development of policies and strategies in the field of employment in social assistance; (3) to substantiate collaborative policy measures for social care workforce.
