About the project
As the service infrastructure in Europe is getting increasingly digital, cyber-security challenges are getting more intense. Humans are often considered the weakest link in the security chain, however, there is a need to identify the factors that influence human users' security decision-making. The systems and services are developed so complexly that users with lower security literacy are hardly able to use those, this also opens up avenues for user mistakes leading to security incidents. Therefore, it is intended to identify, (1) what factors influence the user's security decision-making process, (2) what the user feels about the user-security interactions, (3) what guidelines and recommendations can be formulated that guide towards the development of security yet usable for everyone solutions.
