About the project
This international cooperation project aims to restore war-damaged ecosystems in Ukraine as well as threatened ecosystems across multiple countries. The primary goals of this initiative are to develop regional policies that enhance restoration methods and actively involve local communities by providing employment opportunities for war veterans and individuals undergoing post-war rehabilitation.
We are committed to adopting and sharing best practices in ecosystem restoration from the successful strategies of our project partners. This collaborative approach will not only lead to improved policies that incorporate leading restoration techniques but will also facilitate the social reintegration of individuals affected by war, using environmental restoration as a therapeutic and empowering tool.
This project seeks to address the urgent need for ecological recovery in protected areas while simultaneously aiding the personal recovery of those who have suffered the consequences of war.
