Geology awareness

Awareness of the existence and fragility of fossil relics and geological artifacts in a given area is as much a matter for local authorities as it is for educational factors, from the classical to non-formal education. Educating the educators in turn is part of the process, the research work carried out in parallel also has a role to play in highlighting this (not in the way that the role of basic research has been neglected lately). The provision of a legislative framework bodes well and sustained efforts should be made in this direction. A continuity strategy will be devised as part of the project which, once the project is completed, will not lead to products becoming obsolete but to the process continuing through self-sustainability.
