About the project
Are you ready to put ’smart shrinking’ on your policy agenda with broad stakeholder and citizen support? We represent a research institute of the University of Eastern Finland with special interest in regional/local governance (incl. innovative and inclusive practices for broad stakeholder engagement, citizen deliberation) and a new approach to tackle the complex problems in rural regions which have been persistently facing population decline (natural decrease, aging and out-migration). We propose this project as Advisory Lead Partner, along with our Finnish partner region, the Region of South Savo. We are looking for more partners, primarily regional authorities, esp. from Greece, Bulgaria, Ireland and Hungary. If you are interested, and for more details, please, contact: [email protected] and [email protected] at the Karelian Institute, UEF (Joensuu, Finland)
Partners we are looking for
regional authorities (preferably) in charge of EU policy instruments esp. from relevant rural ares of Greece, Bulgaria, Ireland, Hungary and Italy
