About the project
There have been different changes in the industry concepts. When Industry 4.0 took people out of the industry (IoT, M2M, industrial robots, digital twins, cloud solutions, etc.), currently Industry 5.0 brings people back into the industry, creating new opportunities for Human-Machine co-creation at workplaces.
This brings out a number of challenges, opportunities, and also threats, which the scientific community together with industrial engineers and various practitioners should anticipate and solve in a functioning cooperation between the public and private sectors. Therefore, in order to reflect the industry of the 21st century and the biggest challenge of development activities is the development of new workplaces which are smart and respond flexibly and quickly to changes in the market and the needs of the company.
The project aims at piloting and updating relevant policy instruments to reflect this change from I4.0 to I5.0.
Partners we are looking for
Tallinn Technical University as the project idea initiator is looking for partners all over tEU who are policy-relevant institutions to be able to improve and work with their selected policy instrument in industrial policies. TalTech has a good network of relevant research institutions who are able to provide I4.0 and I5.0 related competence but lacks policy relevant partners.
