About the project
Technical language used by public bodies can be an obstacle to understand their contents and therefore to approach opportunities. This is particularly true of SMEs, especially during a the COVID emergency, when larger amount of funds were released across Europe, driving SMEs to seek professional help to navigate bureaucracy. To help SMEs, Region Umbria has tested innovative visual means of communicate with SMEs during COVID, based on a participatory approach, bi-directional exchange of information, involvement of beneficiaries in the development process, and investment on self-explanatory video tools. The videos were made available through social media and channels. The end result was a greater response to calls published by the Region and easier application processes. Region Umbria is seeking partners with similar policies and experiences to exchange good practices and, through the learning process, to improve current policies and integrate mainstream tools..
