About the project
The opportunity lies in bringing farmers and advisors from research institutes together and determining what is needed to make arable farming methods even more efficient, climate-robust and future-oriented. The main focus for this is the development/use of a number of techniques that can reduce time consuming labour or observations for farmers through smart farming with the help of innovative techniques available, such as sensors, spore raps, satelite images, drone images,... and in the long run replace them. We will examine in the literature and at advisory institutions abroad what already is available on the market for disease detection, fertilization techniques, harvest methodes,.... And demonstrate this to farmers and policy makers with on farm experimentation and demonstration. With the aim of using crop protection products and fertilizers more consciously, so only if it is strictly necessary.
