About the project
Maritime and Nautical heritage, history and legacy are very strong in Europe, as the starting points of most sea journeys in world exploration and trading. European maritime regions in all seas surrounding the continent (Baltic, North, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black) have very important and attractive maritime and nautical heritage assets that are of high interest for sustainable cultural tourism development.
Objective
To preserve and promote Maritime and Nautical Heritage and apply it to the development, enhancement and regeneration of Smart and Sustainable Cultural Tourism.
Activities
- Preserving Maritime and Nautical Heritage
- Market Research and Product Development, including Digital Aps, VR/AR
- Thematic Workshops and Webinars, Study Visits
- Staff Exchanges/Peer Reviews
- Joint Promotion and Exhibitions
- Related Pilot Actions, particularly on Smart Tourism solutions testing and evaluation
- Policy development and policy change for Sustainable Cultural Tourism Regeneration.
