Looking for peers

About the project
European cities and regions have the complex task of preserving, protecting and making accessible the rich European cultural heritage (natural and built heritage, archaeological sites, etc.). Public authorities are looking for new ways to manage their cultural heritage effectively, according to latest technical and scientific standards, and efficiently in view ever tightening public budgets. New approaches are needed such as strategic partnerships (e.g. with universities, technology centres, private sector) or technological solutions (e.g. ICT for the monitoring and diagnosis of the state of conservation of monuments). Public authorities all across Europe can benefit greatly from peer exchange on new approaches to managing Europe’s historic monuments.
