About the project
Night-Time Economy Strategies (NITIES): Interregional approaches to managing the night-time economy in the European Union
Night-time economy has become an important component of the economic development of many towns and cities. This term is used to describe economic activities in cities and town centres that typically occur between 6 p.m and 6 a.m. It encompasses a wide range of activities, including: entertainment and hospitality, cultural events, nightlife, but also activities that support these sectors such as transportation, safety and logistics networks.
Recognising the importance of the night-economy to the European Union’s economy, social cohesion and cultural life, the NITIES project aims to bring public authorities together to maximise the benefits of NTE while minimising its negative impacts.
We are looking for public authorities from across the European Union who are willing to develop and implement strategies for the night-time economy through interregional cooperation.
