About the project
Returning migrants, nationals who have left their home countries to pursue academic, professional, or personal goals abroad and are now coming back, are an integral part of modern EU society. These individuals bring new perspectives, transfer know-how and fresh ideas, bridge far-apart social networks, and synthesise novel cultural spaces. However, this potential is often unrealised due to lack of policies. Returning after years abroad can be full of challenges.
Objective:
We aim to build a consortium of partners to cooperate on assessing and developing policy instruments related to returning migrants. This will contribute to new business creation, international research collaborations, and higher labor market participation.
Key Initiatives:
1. Research and Gap Analysis: Identify missing elements in the policy landscape and address them effectively
2. Experience Sharing: Exchange good practices, develop policy Playbook
3. Employment & entrepreneurship support
4. Pilot activity
