About the project
During the project, it is planned to renovate an existing non-operational water tower in Skriveri Parish by transforming it into a modern tourism and education object—an observation tower with a well-equipped parking lot - thus creating a high-quality recreational area for visitors of the River Daugava Nature Park.
The project is effective in utilizing existing resources, preserving industrial architectural heritage, adapting it to a new form of active recreation, and simultaneously conserving biodiversity within the Nature Park territory (Natura 2000).
