About the project
The project aims to boost building retrofits in local government units to achieve climate goals. Local government units face the challenge of implementing national building renovation strategies mandated by the EPBD. To significantly increase the pace and scope of energy renovation and retrofitting, it is necessary to improve the usability and energy performance of (old) buildings and to reduce the need for new construction. The project will utilize three channels to achieve this objective: The Level(s) framework, An Energy Renovation Framework, A Renovation Algorithm. By integrating these three channels, the proposed project will improve the effectiveness and quality of local policies and regulations while also promoting citizen engagement, investment, and interregional learning. Through these efforts, the project helps local government units achieve their emission reduction targets while also improving the quality of life for citizens.
