About the project
The last years are representing a massive challenge to public authorities in charge of youth employment policies. COVID19 opened several challenges like the new types of work based on digital tools and the fast digitalisation of a wide range of business models (including the more traditional ones) generating an increasing demand for a new set of skills and competences. In this context, regional youth and employment policies are “called” to support this transition “leaving no one behind”. Therefore, new formulas for the capacity building of young people and young entrepreneurs are required, especially in rural areas which digitalisation is being slower and an increasingly important bottleneck and a critical factor for reducing regional asymmetries. RURAL DIGITAL YOUTH aims to improve youth and employment policies making of them more efficient instruments to achieve the digitalisation of rural areas and contributing to increase rural areas capacity to attract and retain talent.
