About the project
The proposed project aims to address the challenge of providing healthcare to elderly individuals, particularly in cross-border areas, through telegeriatrics. The main objective is to improve accessibility and efficiency of healthcare services by implementing telemedicine and mobile assets, transitioning from institution-based care to community-based care for older adults. Key activities include analyzing needs, implementing a pilot project for chronic patients, procuring infrastructure like internet connectivity and wearable technology, ensuring trained healthcare workers, securing funding, establishing telecommunication networks, ensuring data security, measuring effectiveness, and educating patients on telegeriatrics. Ultimately, the project seeks to enhance the quality of life for older adults by providing remote monitoring, virtual consultations, and medication reminders, reducing hospital admissions and improving healthcare outcomes.
