Tourism development in National parks

The project is focused on tourism development in protected areas of National Parks. As there can be different views on number of tourists, the problem of overtourism, how to regulate the amount of the vehicles and last but not least how to set the organizational model for managing the tourism. We would like to find an experienced partners from more developed countries to gain this knowledge. Presov Self Governing Region is developing the cyclotrail in National Park Poloniny. The Poloniny trail is 86 km cyclotrail connecting the villages of the Poloniny Region. (rich of cultural and nature heritage – UNESCO, dark sky, wooden churches, beech forests and typical Ruthenian culture). The aim of the building the trail is to startup the tourism potential in less developed region of Slovakia, that is also located in protected area.
