About the project
The TRAFO KULTUR DIGITAL project aims to initiate the transformation of cultural heritage into modern times with innovative digital media usage formats and to strengthen the region through culture and the revitalization of historical sites.
Studies have shown that the enhancement of cultural heritage can also be used for tourism.
Historic or cultural buildings and sites in Europe are crucial as social places for social exchange. Unused synergies of existing local initiatives or organizations shall be activated through digital networking. The enhancement of cultural heritage should also lead to a strengthening of tourism.
Innovative digital design possibilities such as virtual reality technology are to be used to virtually stage historical, cultural buildings and their stories in Europe. The goal is to create an interactive installation that explores design possibilities at the intersection of music, visual art, virtual reality and augmented reality.
