About the project
SE Zahidukrgeologiya has been and is currently completing government contracts for groundwater condition monitoring in Transcarpathian, Lviv, Iv.-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions of Ukraine.
We offer to start a project focusing on promoting coordinated management and protection of groundwater, increasing the effectiveness of international cooperation in the field of transboundary groundwater monitoring.
Main project objectives:
–To create a monitoring network, covering groundwater resource assessment, modelling the impact of water abstraction on the water balance, and setting up a methodology and programme for transboundary monitoring.
–To study groundwater security and pollution risk to elaborate groundwater protection and management programmes to assess the status and prevent pollution and depletion threats.
–To create a shared geoportal, which can combine hydrogeological information from EU countries and Ukraine, providing access to data on groundwater and its condition
