About the project
Energy planning is of high priority on the agenda across the EU. Public authorities, that play an essential role in reducing energy consumption and increasing renewable energy production, often find themselves challenged while implementing the actions needed to achieve the goals set on European, regional and local levels. It is difficult for them to find a balance between the costs of necessary investments and allocating the resources. In this situation, innovators and businesses also struggle to find markets for their solutions, even though the needed technologies and innovations are available. The project aspires to establish effective cooperation between public and private partners aimed at feasible energy transition of European cities by jointly developing a common set of instruments for local and regional authorities and their stakeholders that help them turn their ambitious energy and climate policy targets into bankable projects, stimulating private investment.
