2nd Italian Regional Stakeholders Group Meeting

The overall aim of SME POWER is to ensure that public policy for the low carbon economy is better adapted to the needs of non-energy intensive SMEs. The purpose of this second Regional Stakeholders Group (RSG) meeting is to review the needs of the sector in conjunction with project stakeholders, and to identify areas where it would be useful to benefit from the experiences and good practices of other partner regions within the SME POWER.
During this virtual meeting participants will discuss and analyse the possible proposals for improvement of regional incentive policies for energy efficiency and good practices of regional calls. 
Before this meeting two documents have been sent out to members: a document containing the good practices of the local regional calls, and another one showing the possible proposals for improvement of the programs and regional calls. 
In particular, the analysis will be concentrated on the second document which outlines 4 proposals deriving from what came out from the discussion of the first RES group meeting held in Florence in January 2020. Participants will evaluate some solutions, a value based on the importance and the possible implementation will be assigned and verified, also for the purpose of their actual feasibility. 
  1. Improve promotional activities for calls to SMEs and awareness campaigns on energy efficiency
  2. Simplify and decrease bureaucracy for participation in tenders
  3. Provide more resources for the financing of tenders for companies, in particular for those relating to efficiency in production process
  4. Promote the implementation of an energy audit and monitor the results achieved
