3rd Stakeholders Meeting- NECCA, Greece

The 3rd Regional Stakeholders Meeting in Greece, organized by the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA), took place on 25th November 2020. Besides informing the stakeholders on updates and upcoming actions of the INVALIS projects, the subject of this meeting was “Addressing emerging conflicts of interest in IAS management practices”. The focus was on presentations of stakeholders coming from managing authorities of protected areas, since they are the ones who deal with conflicts of interests in the field. The meeting also included a general presentation of conflict of interests in the management of marine IAS and a presentation on the management of invasive alien mosquitoes. The meeting concluded with a general discussion among stakeholders on the issue of conflicts of interests in IAS management.
