First stakeholders’ meeting in Varna, Bulgaria

The first stakeholders’ meeting in the frame of the LAND-SEA project took place at the premises of the Regional Administration of Varna on the 12th of June 2017.
More than 30 mayors and representatives of tourism associations, basin administrations, Nature park Golden Sands, science and educational institutes took part at the event.
The aims and planned results of the project have been presented by the Communications manager of the project Kristiana Kazandzhieva and the local co-ordinator Velislava Tihcheva.
Main questions raised were connected with the regional action plan to be elaborated as a result of the best practice exchange and interregional learning process. How is this plan going to be further implemented, how the main needs of the stakeholders will be answered to and many more – questions which got an answer by the administration representatives and project team members.
The work with the stakeholders continues with the identification of their main needs and hottest topics for the “sustainable development” of the Varna region territory (with particular reference to a sustainable development of tourism).
