First WEEEWaste Stakeholders’ meeting, Romania

Bucharest Ilfov Regional Development Agency (ADR-BI) organized  the 1st stakeholder group meeting within the WEEEWaste project on the 17th of July 2023. During this meeting, the general objective of the project, the planned activities, as well as the way in which the main regional actors will be involved in the implementation of the project were presented. The participants represented the public sector, the private sector, as well as non-governmental organizations active in the field of electrical and electronic equipment waste recycling: the Ilfov County Council, the Romanian Waters National Administration, the National Research Institute for Chemistry and Petrochemistry, the Bucharest Metropolitan Area Intercommunity Development Association, The Ecotic Association, OPP Remat and the National Electric and Electronic Recycling Center Association are some of the guests who responded positively to the WEEEWaste project initiative. In between the presentations of the meeting, active discussions on the future directions for reducing the DEEE took place.
