STOPWASTE study visit in Romania
On December 14th, 2023, the StopWaste project organized a study visit centered on the theme of "Packaging and packaging waste – a common challenge in design and management." The objective was to facilitate a learning exchange among partners from different regions, focusing on reducing waste policies and identifying best practices.
The itinerary included visits to key facilities:
- 10:00 - 11:00: A visit to 3RGREEN, a facility specializing in recyclable waste collection and sorting.
- 12:00 - 13:00: The group toured Ecorec, a modern recycling facility emphasizing investment in a cleaner future.
- 13:30 - 15:00: Lunch was provided at Biutiful Downtown, courtesy of ADR-BI.
- 15:00 - 15:30: The day concluded with a return to the Radisson Blu hotel.
Throughout the day, participants actively engaged with various aspects of waste management, including collection methods, sorting techniques, modern recycling technologies, and the integration of sustainable design principles in packaging. The focus was on sharing insights and identifying effective strategies to address the shared challenge of managing packaging waste.
