Transition towards a circular economy - World Café workshop
The Environmental Research Institute attended a meeting which was organized and hosted by their stakeholder ZEOS on January 17th 2024 in Technopark in Celje. The event focused on the importance of transitioning towards a circular economy, specifically in relation to electrical and electronic waste equipment.
During this event, a workshop entitled 'Challenges in the field of reuse in Slovenia' took place in the style of a 'World Café', allowing various organizations in the field of e-waste management to exchange insights and ideas regarding the management of such waste. Participants of this event included The Communal Chamber of Slovenia as well as several utility companies across Slovenia.
Within the aim of the WEEEWaste project, which is focused on improving policies for management of electrical and electronic waste equipment, we emphasized the importance of implementing a higher level of reuse of e-waste, which we will achieve with innovative measures for reducing the need to obtain new raw materials, which contributes to reducing the environmental footprint.
