Cigdem Kansu

I completed my PhD at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2018, where my research focused on the population genetics of Euphrates poplar. Following this, I conducted a postdoctoral research at Virginia Tech,USA, studying Populus trichocarpa to understand how selection shaped the genomes of the species. Currently, I'm a researcher at Tekirdag Namik Kemal University, with expertise in evolutionary genomics, phylogenetics, climate adaptation of forest trees, and conservation genomics.
