About the organisation
Calasparra is a Spanish municipality in the Region of Murcia, Spain. It has 10 161 inhabitants (INE 2023). It is known for its rice (especially the bomba variety), which has a PDO.
The Municipality has a strategy for participation in European projects, in which it is committed to increasing its participation as a local actor. Within the framework of this Strategy, developed in 2022, the Municipality participates as a partner in the SMEOrigin project.
